A HISTORIC CHURCH TURNED MUSEUM
The Cuyler Mohawk On-Line Museum is housed in the historic former Cuyler Church in Brooklyn, NY. Originally a gathering place for the local Mohawk community who worked on New York City skyscrapers in the 1920s–1960s, the building was fully restored and has received National Trust Historical designation. The museum showcases more than 3,000 furnishings, paintings, sculptures, and art deco & mid-century modern pieces. It also features a large digital archive of 30,000 related images.

The Cuyler Mohawk Museum is a unique cultural institution located at 358 Pacific Street, Brooklyn, NY. Our mission is to preserve, document, and share the intertwined histories of American design, architecture, and the Mohawk community of Brooklyn.
This museum is more than a collection of artifacts — it is a storytelling space, where the legacy of Art Deco and Mid-Century modern design meets the rich heritage of Brooklyn’s Mohawk community. Visitors can explore over 3,000 physical artifacts and access more than 28,000 digital images, making the museum a hub for historians, students, designers, and anyone with a passion for cultural history.
